To perform the easter egg trick, do the following:

Step:1. Run Notepad.
Step:2. Type .LOG in the editor (all letters in capital).
Step:3. Save the file with any filename.

Step:4. Exit Notepad.
Step:5. Double click on the saved file or launch a blank Notepad and use File menu to open up the saved file again.
Step:6. Voila, the date and time of opening the text document appear right below the “.LOG” line.
