Navigation:
You can right-click the back or the next navigation buttons to check the recent history. Additionally, you can simply drag and drop any of the tabs present onto your desktop to start a new browser window with only that tab open and in case you accidentally closed a tab or you want to open a recently closed tab, you can bring it back by simply pressing [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [T]. If there are multiple open tabs present in your browser window, you can cycle through them by pressing [Ctrl] + [1] to [Ctrl] + [9] on your keyboard.
Desktop shortcuts:
Using Chrome you can create a desktop or start menu shortcut for any web site of your choice. Just open the site in Chrome and click the ‘customize and control Google chrome’ button on the right most corner of the screen. Then under the tools menu, select the ‘create application shortcuts’ options. You can choose to select any of the three options, desktop shortcut, start menu shortcut and pinning ot to the taskbar in Windows 7. Now from the desktop, you can just double-click the site to launch a new window with the site open.
