While editing with real images of people, the toughest jod in post-production is dealing with hair. The new Refine Edges feature in CS5 makes the task easier than ever before Start by making a rough selection With the Quick Selection Tool keeping the AutoEnhance option checked. Now go to Select > Refine Edge in the drop-down menu select the On Layernoption. You might have to increase the radius in the Edge Detection section. Use the Shift Edge slider and try removing the white that will sit around the edge of your selections, but another effective way for doing this, is by using the new Decontaminate Colours feature. You can check the Decontaminate Colours option and adjust the Amount slider.
