Asus Eee PC RO51PX Price in India : Cheapest

The new Eee PC RO51PX is Asus’ signal to the world that it isn’t letting netbooks die just yet. The 10-inch netbook sports latest dual-core Intel Atom N570 processor, promising improved performance at a low price.

We like the netbook’s seashell design, its exterior is pearly white in colour, smooth non-glossy on touch. Prop the screen’s lid open to reveal a white keyboard and palmrest, a silver coloured mouse button below the touchpad and a glossy black screen bezel surrounding a matte screen. The Eee PC RO51PX is built well, despite its tiny form factor, hinges securing its screen firmly to the base. The included 0.3MP webcam is ordinary at best, its accompanying webcam software helpful while taking pics.

The 10-inch netbook comes with a pre-Windows quick-boot OS called ExpressGate which takes you to a web browser within seconds of pressing the power on button. It’s a useful utility if you just want to browse the Web and prolong the netbook’s battery life. The netbook also bundles Asus WebStorage which offers online data backup free for up to a year - the cloud drive is added as a partition in the Computer screen, drag and drop files to get started.

Performance of the netbook is mildly better than most Intel Atom netbooks out there, courtesy a dual-core Atom processor – but nothing much to get excited. Its battery lasted 3 hours 224 minutes in our synthetic test, better most netbooks tested in the June issue. We think you can get over 6 hours of browsing the Web over Wi-Fi on a conservative power plan on the Eee PC RO51PX. Not bad at all. And the netbooks’ price is attractive as well.
