Are you using Windows in your computer? If you are, then most likely than not you have installed programs and applications in your unit and not having to use them in the end. These programs are not of any help to you and may be able to slow down your computer a bit. The question you would then ask.-“should I uninstall it or just leave it alone as it is?”

      ·         Should you care? Yes you should. A program or application is using a part of your computer’s memory even if you are not running the program. The fact that that application is still saved in your computer means it is occupying a space in your disk that you can use for other purposes. Sometimes, these programs may have brought complications and errors. This may slow down your computer. If your hard drive has only limited space, the more it is needed to uninstall such applications. In uninstalling such programs, you would choose if you would like to use the programs “Uninstall” feature or use “Windows Uninstall” or also called “Add or Remove Programs” function.

     ·         Which would be better for your computer? As always, it depends. There are applications that have their own uninstall function and you have that option to use it. There are times when this function fails or cannot delete the whole file then you always have the Windows Uninstaller feature to clean it up.

     ·         Blast Away. if the application is so annoying and is particularly very hard to uninstall, and you would like to blast this application out from your computer (perhaps their stock tanked or left you with a black hole, or just maybe your program crashed just when you are about ready to save your work in progress), it is always best for you to use the Microsoft’s Uninstall function.

Here are how to uninstall applications:
1.       Uninstalling Applications installed by drag-and-drop. If your application was installed using this method, you can simply drag these applications directly to the Trash. But it is still necessary to consult the application’s uninstalling instructions.
2.        Uninstalling Applications by Running an Installer. When uninstalling this kind of application, consult the applications’ documents here are some guidelines
·         Installer usually include an uninstall option. This is often accessed when re running the installer and selecting the uninstall feature.
·          Some installer’s records a log file which lists most components that were installed and were saved. You must find and locate this logged files for these specific applications
Use Windows Uninstall feature to ensure the protection of your computer when uninstalling applications.
